Wanted to share my experience with this tank. Initially everything was good, tank is easy to set up and looks pretty great. It went downhill from there. The LEDs have white bulbs and blue bulbs. So if you want to get the most out of it you can either choose to turn off half your light, which makes it too dim or to turn both on which makes the tank look blue, so not ideal for a freshwater setup. But that’s not really the worst of it. There was a ridiculous amount of really terrible smelling manufacturing oil in this thing. It’s clearly not healthy for anything and even when rinsing out just leaked everywhere and coated both the tank and the plastic bits. It’s like this synthetic oil that coats everything. It was coming out in clumps, so it wasn’t like ... ohh there is just a little residue. It’s like there was a bunch of it pooled at the bottom. 2 days after running, the water pump just randomly came out. I simply put the preassembled filter in the tank, I didn’t touch it. I put it all back together, but now there is a rumble in there I can’t get rid off. I reassembled it several times to make sure everything is flush. While trying to get rid of the rumble I moved the filter slightly and some soil must have gone under it because it’s no longer flush and it’s triggering my ocd. The tank had so much potential, it looks good ... I think maybe I just got a lemon. I definitely won’t be looking at this brand anymore though ... in-between the oil and water pump this will cost me in plants and has been an incredibly unpleasant experience. I didn’t even imagine there would be so much oil in this thing. Who does that?
