My fish and plants seem happy with it, but I have to unplug it every night. Not a big hassle but my power strip is mounted to the wall and I don’t like having to tug on it so often. I’m surprised it didn’t come with a built in timer or off/on switch. Totally happy with it for the price, but if I had noticed this before hand I would have gone for something more convinient.
Hey Jennifer, thank you for the honest review of this product. The fact that this light doesn't have a switch was one of our gripes too. A good option would be to get a cheap 'smart' plug to plug this into.
