Tropica recommends that you change 25-50% of the water at least twice a week during the first 4 weeks after establishing the aquarium.
Bought a 3L bag of tropica powder substrate and will be buying more. This substrate is much smaller than the fluval stratum (currently in the majority of my aquariums). Also this soil has more nutrients than fluval stratum so I hope to grow more demanding root feeders
I purchased this soil which was part of a toss up between ada and this. Both great soils, but I was looking for a black look in the tank. This soil has exceeded my expectations and the growth is phenomenal.
Other stores and vendors will try to sell you this exact soil for nearly double or triple the price. My order arrived fast, and was packaged with care! I’ll be ordering again soon :)
