Now Hiring: Inventory and Fulfillment Associate

Inventory and Fulfillment Associate (Full Time, Flexible Hours)

Our ecommerce business has been growing fast and we now need another capable set of hands to help fulfill online orders and manage incoming inventory. You will gain first hand experience running an ecommerce business in a start up environment with the opportunity to take on a managerial role in several months.

DUTIES
monitor all incoming sales orders
pick and pack orders
occasionally deliver packages to post office or FedEx location
communicate with customers by phone or email about placed orders if necessary
communicate with management about items that need to be transferred or ordered
respond to customer inquiries about placed orders
process new inventory deliveries (unpack, count, put items away, enter purchase order into database)

SKILLS REQUIRED
Confident and quick on a computer, preferably a mac
Thorough command of the English language and ability to write with flawless spelling and grammar
Ability to use Excel, Numbers, or Google sheets
Ability to learn new software (most of our business apps are web based)
Must have your own vehicle, as you will need to transport items between our 2 locations and deliver packages
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
Must be legally allowed to work in USA
Relevant education or experience is a plus, but not required
Bonus points if you have experience with or an interest in aquariums

We are a small team so you will mostly be working on your tasks independently, although there will be other people around. We are also in the middle of a move, so things are messy and chaotic. You will need to be very flexible and patient for the first month or two until things settle down and systems are put into place.

Starting rate is $15 per hour. After a probationary period of 12 months, depending on a number of factors, we would look at transitioning to a salaried position with benefits. Ideally, you would become the shipping and receiving manager, although there should be opportunities to move up or over within the business: marketing, accounting, customer service, aquarium maintenance, plus more are all potential areas to get involved with. An interest in being involved with the development of the business is a big plus. This role is intended to expose you to the inner workings of a start-up ecommerce business and give you practical experience that could be applied to many companies and industries.

Fairly flexible times, anywhere between 4-8 hours per day depending on workload and your schedule. We can negotiate a minimum or maximum time commitment per week if you'd like.

To apply, please email careers@aqualabaquaria.com, paying close attention to the instructions in this paragraph. Please explain why you are interested in the role, why you think you would be good fit, and how it fits in with your current ambitions. Please include your current availability.

Thank you.
