Description:
Bucephalandra 'Kedagang Diabolica' is a rare and visually captivating aquatic plant that brings a bold, dramatic flair to any aquascape. Known for its deep burgundy to reddish-purple hues and metallic iridescence, this variety stands out with its narrow, slightly wavy leaves and compact growth habit. As a rhizomatous species native to Borneo, it attaches naturally to hardscape elements such as driftwood or stone.
Color & Appearance:
This cultivar is especially prized for its dark, "diabolical" coloration—a mix of dark red, deep green, and shimmering violet under optimal conditions. New growth often appears more vivid, especially with strong lighting and CO₂ supplementation. Its slender leaves give a refined, elegant look, perfect for modern aquascapes.

Tissue culture plants are grown in-vitro (literally: in the glass) in a nutrient-rich synthetic growing medium, either liquid or gel, without the presence of any other lifeforms. This guarantees a pest and disease-free specimen, while also providing accuracy throughout the trade.
Tissue culture plants should be removed from the cup as soon as possible. All plants grow on some sort of synthetic growing medium, ranging anywhere from liquid to jelly to firm gel. This should be removed and rinsed off. Gently massage the roots between your fingers until the gel dissolves away. Most plants can be broken up into smaller pieces and spread out in your aquarium. Smaller pieces are easier to plant.
