We are excited to announce that starting July 2019, Aqua Lab’s electrical power will come entirely from renewable and carbon-free energy sources. This is a milestone for us towards achieving our goal of creating a business that operates in harmony with Mother Nature.
Our current location in San Jose is used as our showroom, retail store, warehouse, office, service center, and workshop. Each of these functions will now be able to operate with a reduced carbon-footprint and we couldn’t be happier.
Our next big effort will be to employ a major water recycling program within our store in order to reduce our water usage. More to come about this system.
Below is our letter from PG&E.
Dear AQUA LAB AQUARIA ,
Thank you for enrolling in San José Clean Energy’s TotalGreen service, which sources 100% renewable and 100% carbon-free electricity!
With San José Clean Energy, nothing changes about your electricity service other than receiving greener energy. PG&E will continue to deliver electricity over existing power lines, maintain the lines and provide customer service, just like they always have. There are no duplicate or double charges; San José Clean Energy charges simply replace what PG&E would otherwise charge you for electricity generation.
By enrolling in TotalGreen, you will pay $0.01 per kWh more than GreenSource, our standard service. For this small cost, you are further supporting the generation of electricity from carbon-free wind and solar farms and are doing even more to reduce your impact on the planet.
Aqua Lab Aquaria- TotalGreenIt’s exciting to see local businesses like Aqua Lab Aquaria 🐟 making a positive impact in our community by choosing to upgrade to 100% renewable energy.
